5 Simple Ways to Become Productive and Successful

by Yusuff Ademola A.

Virtually everyone is most concerned about success. However, not everyone can succeed except those who know the secrets behind success! The ponderous contributor to success is nothing but PRODUCTIVITY. This is the reason numerous writers and readers are obsessed with the topic ‘Productivity’.  In this digital age, staying on task and avoiding distraction have become harder to accomplish. Therefore, it is essential that you get a guide towards achieving productivity in your everyday tasks. Here are 5 simple ways to become more productive and successful:

1.      Focus on yourself in the morning: Many people begin their day by checking their emails and other social accounts. Be careful of this, perhaps it is a big productivity killer. Start your day with spiritually productive activities – if you are a Muslim, observe the Fajr Prayer and recite the morning Sunnah adhkaar; these are true stress relievers and energy boosters which never fail to make you feel blessed every morning. Do all other needful and get ready for the day work. You may also make a short to-do list. This will ensure you have got the necessary fuel for a productive day.

2.      Tackle your most challenging tasks before lunch: Everyone knows that brain stays fresh in the morning hours. So, you should knock out your most challenging tasks in these hours. You may schedule all meetings and less difficult tasks in the afternoon. This is a means to create a new and more productive way to manage your time.

3.      Take more breaks: Give yourself a moment to refresh after long hours of work. Take a walk, grab some snacks or take a rest. This helps you to recharge and get ready for greater efficiency.

4.      Stop multi-tasking: Get things done more effectively and efficiently by focusing on one task at a time. A research finding shows that changing tasks more than 10 times a day drops your IQ an average of 10 points!

5.      Finally, use social media and emails to your advantage: Over use of facebook, WhatsApp, mailbox et al are productivity killers and usually constitute distractions from productive tasks. Don’t fall into this trap.
Thank You!
