This could simply be reinforced by the simple fact that the first chapter revealed to the messenger of Allah, Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) emphasises on this. In addition, if we care further to probe into generation before the generation of Muhammad, we will still see the relevance of knowledge being the basis of lives. Allah says in Quran chapter 2 verse 30 that Adam was taught the names of all things. It is also the basis with which we applaud our scholar with reference the statement of Allah which say those who revere their creator are the scholars, the knowledgeable.
